5-:510: What makes you happy? What are the truths in that happiness?
510-5:25: Sedaris…. Opinions. Good, bad, indifferent. BRING IT. Just support your opinions, of course.
5:25-5:50: When we read your story, we will……..
5:50-6pm: Forget tonight’s page for now, what’s in your blend of thoughts and visions?
ASSIGNMENT: Read the next 4 essays in Calypso. Write in your journal. Be ready to present over zoom on Monday and engage me and your colleagues.
NOTE FROM ME: If you’re doubting yourself, don’t scold yourself for doing so. Study Self, educate Self on what’s to follow.
if you guys were to read my story, you’d get a glimpse of how I have been able to build a healthy environment around myself when unhealthy is all I was unfortunately raised around. Simply how I have used my past as the fuel to positively construct my life in every aspect from the relationship with myself and relationships around me.

what makes me happy is achieving vary hard goals, goals that are damn near impossible, deifying the odds, painting makes me happy at some point in time so did partying but we all grow up at some point. striving to live by my own standards makes me happy. going hiking which I haven’t done in a while. living life makes me happy.

When you read my story you will see a person who doesn’t really know how to share their own story because I am bound to forget important aspects of my life. I feel my story will be a splatter of words of all of my best and worst memories compiled into a timeline with words in between to make it a story.

When you read my story you will understand a little more about something that hurts a lot of people, and I think that is a good thing because it is much easier to help people when you understand them. Also you will probably realize how falsely represented/romanticize mental illness is although I will be focusing on my own more specific situation the same applies all around even if I won’t focus on things I don’t struggle with myself.

Definitely contemplative. Sedaris analyzes the experience of poverty, social class and opportunity on page 56. He shows an objective truth on how addiction, mental illness does not care whether you’ve had positive moments that have shaped you such as skilled music lessons or international vacations. That shit can mess up your life indefinitely if not treated. Sedaris’s examples makes me want to ponder further into his insights and conclusions to learn more wisdom about ones personal decisions and choices.

I feel like Sedaris has been a better fit for me than the other writers so far. More sit back and calm flow. I like his style, I like how all writers take me into their own life and world and how they see and observe it.

In my story I hope to guide myself toward sincerity giving myself the opportunity to explore my story with an exciting rhythm, ending the reality of a cycle that continues to hurt me and that should have ended a long time ago.

OTP: Slow and steady wins the race… yeah well, don’t worry about slow or fast, steady or bumpy, or if it’s a race. Just move, and move for YOU. Sedaris reminds me of this…

When you read my story, you’ll get a sense of who I am and why I am the way I am. I think some people will relate to it and some people will think I’m being completely over dramatic but that isn’t my problem. I’m here to tell my story the way I want it to be told. You’ll understand a different type of struggle that isn’t very common or vocalized because people usually don’t share it because they think it’s not valid, but I’m saying it is.

Everything you have to tell is valid. Other opinions don’t determine validity, Nina. Cheers to you.

The main thing on my thoughts right now is that I’m excited to take a couple group fitness classes tomorrow to interview the instructor on the career of teaching group fitness because I’m in an intro to Kinestheology class as well. I’ve never taken a fitness class outside of school so I’m quite excited. That isn’t directly related to my story although I guess that hopeful energy shows how I’m trying to direct my story towards a happy ending!

my thoughts are telling me to take one thing at a time and to not put myself down for taking “a long time” on something. the amount of time doesn’t equal success or failure. as long as I gave it my full sincere attention then I should feel happy that I got something completed.

Thoughts and visions are blended with the aspiration of improving the communication I wish to convey in my paper is better than the last time I wrote something similarly in English 1A. I think it was a 1000 word creative on pain.. Yes… It remember it was very poetic. I want to branch off that style but do it even better. Reminding myself to forget self-doubt in my writing capabilities.
