I am at home with my kids trying to help them with school. I feel sad and disconnected that this is what they do for 7 hours a day and I am completely lost. If shelter in place has taught me anything, it’s how much I do not know about my children. It’s time to take a break from all of our homework before the tears flow from frustration. I included. Teachers deserve more money.

I’m sitting cross legged on my bed with my girlfriend wrapped around me snoozing soundly. It’s pretty sweet. She’s been uncomfortable all day because she overdid it a bit on the tequila last night… we’ve been serving up quarantinis lol. But really it’s nice to see her smiling and resting. Anyways I just realized this website exists, so I’ve been going through and commenting on all the posts. I’m definitely starting to want some dinner through, so I’m brainstorming what I should throw together. I have an eggplant that is going to go bad, but I also have some leftover saag paneer that needs to be eaten. I’d like to do some art tonight. I think that would be a nice way to conclude my evening 🙂

It’s tomorrow morning. Getting ready for work. In so many ways it’s just another day. But as soon as I step out into the world, it changes. Less cars, more people walking, less traffic but somehow a greater urgency to get where ones going. Perhaps it’s because of the momentary mobile quarantine unit to get to the next quarantine unit. I am grateful to have a job, grateful to be remaining positive amidst the chaos.

I’m kind of thinking about my Econ class. I don’t know how things are going to turn up with it because the work can be done online, but the actual work part has to be done physically. Another thing is French because learning a language digitally works for some, but it really doesn’t work for me not having the teacher with me to correct me and for me to be able to ask more questions with answers right away. Another thing is AP exams and how that’s going to work with calculus because well, it’s calculus. I should be fine with Spanish, but I don’t know about calculus… I try so hard to learn the material, but I don’t understand it. Another thing is my job because I do want to work and get paid. I like being able to help my family and it’s just bad now because one member was laid off from one of their jobs. I don’t know what to really feel, but feel like I know everything to think about.

Feeling is one thing. Action and movement, YOUR beat are what matter, what will get you what you want.
