5-5:10pm: Tell us a story from today…. Be sure to react to each other.
5:10-5:30pm: Parts where Lawson connects to and speaks to you.
5:30-5:50pm: How could this book help with an idea for the final essay this semester?
5:50-6pm: Close… now what? What do you want from Lawson? What do you hope to see?
ASSIGNMENT: Finish the book by end of next week. I’ll be doing check-ins in the meantime. PLEASE do not take this lightly or dismissively. I will expect a demonstration that you’ve read and are generating ides from the book. USE YOUR JOURNAL…. Note crazy, reaching thoughts, note everything. Be more of a Human and less a student.
What I want from Lawson is to liberate my writing ability. In my previous English class I felt like I had to fit into a mold not involving my personal feelings or thoughts but to satisfy the professor. I feel like I’m going through a creative process. I can’t wait to see how I’ll look at writing at the end of the book.

Cheers!!! There is no ONE way to write. And English classes suck, except mine. lol

On the Page: The only person we will always have to deal with is ourselves. So, we should be able to laugh at ourself, be proud of ourself, think critically about ourself, and take what we’ve got and make the most out of it.
Thanks for that comment…

I want Lawson to make me laugh more to be honest, I really enjoy reading her writing. I also want more of her mantras because they’re really good. If the her book keeps going as it is I’ll be more than happy.

I just want more honesty from Lawson. So far I am satisfied with how Lawson approaches her book and they way she tells it. She is vulnerable, open, and honest with herself and the reader.

I like what she has so far in her book. A lot of the themes speak to me, and the humor makes the sad or harder parts go down a bit easier. I hope to see more about the idea she has of destigmatizing mental illness.

I hope to see more of Lawson. Her life, you family, her illnesses, and how she deals with everything going on. And, of course, more come backs and convos with Victor because those are my favorite. I want to see what it’s like to be in her head but to also be her friend and to understand her.

Keep reading the book and puts down some ideas into my notes. I really like how Lawson’s writing just flows I’d like to see that in my writing so I’ll work on that.

In terms of ideas for the final essay, I believe the freedom that Lawson expresses will be key for getting our ideas onto the page. Slapping ideas down is much more beneficial than getting stuck in writer’s block

FYN….. Find humor and lesson in all moments that upset you. It’s hard, but can be done. And when it is, you’re more YOU.

what do I hope to see? well- i am not sure because Lawson is so unexpected in a powerful way but I hope that all the randomness in each chapter ends up coming in full circle at the end.

Lawson propels me to search for the absence of my unclaimed authentic identity that fragilely hides, and to be acquainted with those gaps that pull me further away from trusting or believing that there is functional fullness inside of me.
She reminds me of the dualism in life such as the ancient Chinese philosophy of Yin Yang.
I will search for Lawson’s witty liberation from her moments of mind-numbing madness of existence.
Laugh now, apocalypse later…
Peace.

reading Lawson’s words and reading her words go together like burgers and fries its just soo good! Not only dose it help by giving a visual picture but it helps by not getting lost in her words alone. I am of course only speaking for me, it also helps by reading along with her hearing what she really has to say and capturing every minute. definitely glad I got both copies.

I accidentally went to Wednesday the 27ths blog post and commented there again I think I should’ve went to bed a lot earlier last night.
Lawson really spoke to me when she described her considered uses of time instead of doing something her husband would think is useful. Thinking about any plan other than the one forced upon you is pretty fun.
All I want from Lawson really is just more funny stories and hopefully ending on a positive note,.
