I’m almost done writing my final essay, and I’ve gotten through two of the three books, I learned that I am very bad at extending things so that they fill a page because I’m so used to making things simple and succinct. I would say the only advice that I have is that you should structure your essay so that you know what goes where so that it flows properly, and that if you can’t get the words to flow you should take a break for a while and come back when they do, because that is when you will do your bets writing.

I have outlined, researched, and am beginning to really write my essay. From previous longer essays, I have learned that by taking the time to work out the structure of my paper before I begin writing I have an easier time when It comes to the writing process. However, I don’t hold myself strictly to the outline because I tend to feel like my best writing comes when it feels natural. I am excited about this final paper and enjoy my topic. By being engaged with my topic choice the writing doesn’t feel forced.

I’m fully prepared to start writing my final essay as I’ve done my research and outlining. The most useful resource was looking back at my own annotations of the books. This helped make the writing process more concise because I pulled from specific parts of the books that related to and emphasized my thesis and main idea. My advice would be to focus on structure before writing because it make the process easier when there is a sequential order to the essay.

So far I have taken specific notes from research I have done on my topic; one tip I have is to flesh out as many fully written sentences or small paragraphs as possible while doing your research so you can easily tweak and insert them into your final essay when you are further along in your writing process. I have also made an outline, written my introduction paragraph and thesis, and gathered quotes and evidence from the three books that get my points across well. I tend to skip around and write different chunks of the essay at a time rather than write it from the beginning to the end. Even though I don’t write my entire essay chronologically, another bit of advice I would give is to write your introduction and thesis as early as possible. This helps because you can easily refer back to it and make sure all the writing you’re doing correlates to the main idea behind your essay.

I would say I am 50% done with the paper itself. I am feeling good about it. Having a written down outline has been incredibly helpful. If I feel I have written everything I want to say on one author I look back at my outline and make sure every point I wanted to make was made. This helps me make sure I am saying everything I want to say. When writing longer papers I usually get a bunch of ideas throughout the day but then forget them when I sit down to write. Having my ideas written down has been very helpful so I don’t get frustrated when I can’t remember what I wanted to say. I don’t have any worries about the page requirement like I did in the beginning and I think that is because I am passionate about the topic I chose. So I learned how being passionate about your writing makes it so much easier. I would recommend making a written down outline to all my classmates. Having a guide makes writing less daunting. Also the writing process can go much quicker when you already have an idea of what you want to say next.

I am half way done with my final essay. I only have a couple more pages to write and edit. What I did was, I wrote a rough draft before I started typing which helped a lot. I learned that I write more fast and passionately when I am writing on a paper and not typing. It might be because writing feels like hardworking and personal. One advise I would give is to start as soon as possible and not procrastinate. It is because it can be really hard to find ides and what to write sometimes. So, starting as soon as possible is better than doing it later.

I am halfway done with my paper , it took me awhile to start to write because I didn’t know what to right about and when I finally was able to choose I wrote it down all on paper because i needed to visually see it.

I do the same thing. Something about ACTUAL writing and seeing it on a page is useful, and self-educating.

I am about halfway done with my essay, and I have found it best for myself to really take time to deliberate about what I will express next. I finished my outline early on and have been piling on top of that. Taking mental breaks and working slowly has allowed my mind to stay fresh, and with every day I also think of more ideas I can write about, which overall I believe will help deepen my themes. Today I will be working on two paragraphs then calling it quits, the next day two more, and so on until I am proud of the finished product.

I am about 3/4 of the way done with my final essay. So far I have completed and finalized my three body paragraphs and my introductory paragraph. I found that when creating my body paragraphs that I had such high expectations and because of these high expectations I would often get writers block. I would be frustrated as I knew in my head what I wanted to say but I could never translate those thoughts onto my paper. I took a break from my paper for a little over a week and found that my mind was now clearer than ever. I was able to depict all of the concise details that would immerse my reader into my journey through self-discovery. Writing a paper can be challenging for many but, my tip is to take a break when you feel frustrated because the best work is made with a clear mind and a good headspace. Going into my final paragraph I hope to generalize the key points of my journey, demonstrate the lessons I learned, and lastly go out with a bang!

So far I have completed two pages of my final essay. I took notes and went back to read one of the books to refresh what it talked about, and I have also found some articles that I plan on including in my essay as outside sources. I kind of have a hard time extending my writing at times, but I am glad I went back to read the books and i’m sure I will find some more things to add onto my essay.

  11. So far I have completed 3 total pages on my final essay. I am feeling really good about it and am getting about a page done a day. I took a break for a day because I was gone but came back and now finishing it up.
I have learned that grouping what you want to talk about paragraph wise or page wise helps a ton. I started by writing my introduction paragraph and then decided that i was going to dedicate a certain amount of each page to a character depending on the topic.
Definitely spacing out how much you work is a good thing. I like to give myself about half an hour to work on an idea and then take a break. Also, like other people in the class, organizing each page/paragraph into a specific idea helps a lot too.

I just finished my final essay and will be editing it this week before I turn it in. I have learned a few things about myself and self acceptance, which is the topic I chose. The only tip I have is don’t procrastinate if you’re prone to anxiety.

I have written the full rough draft of my final essay so I am going through the editing process right now. I am struggling with making sure that I am staying on one topic and exploring that one idea in depth. Sometimes I have noticed that there are things I want to mention, but them when I go over and read it back I realize that I am venturing off of my main point too far. I am right on the edge between an A and a B so I am struggling with my desire to not overthink it too hard, but also wanting it to be perfect.

I am about a page away from finishing my final essay. I have completed most of it but have held it off for no reason but just to relax, I wish I hadn’t and would’ve just pushed to get it done earlier. I have learned a lot about being in acceptance of oneself because that is very key in everyone’s life. I think being happy with what you are doing is important and if you aren’t then find a way so that you are happy with what you are doing.

So far I have written a large portion of my paper, I am just having a hard time extending the concepts I explain in my essay. I have found three outside sources along with the books and I am excited to incorporate more of them in my essay. I think making an outline of my essay has helped with writing it as well as making sure the concepts flow together in a logical way. I have had a hard time sitting down to just write it but It’s getting along quite well. So far I have learned that my essay is going to take a lot longer to write than I had initially thought, which is fine as I’ve left plenty of time to add finalizing details and remarks. I think that my progress is pretty good, and I have really enjoyed delving more into my topic as I have always found it interesting. With papers like these, where we choose our topic, I’d always recommend writing something that interests you, writing about something that isn’t interesting is hard. And I think that most of the time, the disinterest shows through the writing of the essay. I am very close to finishing, but I do think I would have liked it if I had finished it earlier.
