hey everyone!! hope y’all are doing well! Such a pretty day today! Today I went to the mall to get my sister a birthday present at the Disney store but they’re closed completely down!! (She wanted a baby yoda stuff animal lol) Then I got a little bit distracted and got some things while I was there. When I got home my sister wanted to do some more shopping at lululemons in Rosa. She got some stuff and I got my self my first pair of leggings from there as well! They’re so comfortable but so expensive!! But some times you just gotta treat yourself you know? We walked around a bit and found my mom a gift that was supper sentimental. But I had a lot of fun with my sister. We don’t hang to much because we’re always busy doing our own things but I’m happy for the time I get with her.

I then got myself to eat some eggs after class and then went to hang out with my older brother. talked with him in his room until about 2 and then I read a chapter of Irbys’ book and finished up the prompts from last class before logging into the chat. My writing style is formally sarcastic. In school they only allowed us to write formal argumentative essays. There was no room for freedom and it sucked that it has affected the way I write now. Though I say sarcastic because I’d always try to find little loop holes to make the essay seem like my own and not like it was wrote by a robot.

I would say that my style in the beginning of the semester was very traditional. I stuck to a concrete sentence form that didn’t stray from the rules of what I was taught in english before. As the year went on I have become a lot more free writing, that has allowed me to use more comedy, sarcasm, and honesty into my writings that I never thought I was able to do before in English. I think this more individualistic style form has made my writing a lot more enjoyable as well as an actual hobby instead of a chore.

My writing style is very simple and straight forward. I make sure to organize my work so readers can easily follow the things going on in my essay. I don’t try to be fancy and write self reflective or awe inspiring academy award winning pieces of work. I keep it consistent and legible so when i go to edit and revise my writings it has a clear chronological order to go in. From this semester my writing style hasn’t changed much besides being better at writing essays which isn’t writing style but skill but none the less its what I improved on.

After I got home I sat on the patio of my house to finish Irby’s book while I was enjoying my coffee.
Then I hung out with my roommates and he was telling me some funny stories from his family who are from Louisiana. I love how people are so different and have so many different habits. When I think style, I think memory… how are you remembered, how do you make yourself known? I relate to that difference too, though I think my big one is our attitudes. I think we are very different when it comes to how we deal with a challenge. Im a perfectionist, and I think Irby is the complete opposite.

I would say Irby are only alike in that her attitude and style are something I aspire to. Her confidence and “I am who I am” attitude are admirable to me. I also wish I had her knack for brutally honest humor that comes across as relatable as opposed to unapproachable.
