The Sales Training thing. More than a thing, or job, or even “lifestyle”…. My journey as a Sales Trainer, building and building and I want to build it faster but not sure how yet.
Be patient, I tell myself…
Patience feels like a scam designed by people who already arrived. I wonder why they repeat it as they do, obvious as they are.
I want the whole operation to move like a rogue rocket, not a slow train dragging its wheels through molasses.
I want the Reps to get it now, and do well for themselves, give no one a concern. I want
everyone in upper-management watching drinking champagne reading the results roll in.
And no, not after seventeen sessions and a PowerPoint that looks like it was built in 2002.
Every day I feel like I’m juggling fire while riding a unicycle in front of a jury that doesn’t even know that it’s just a performance.
But still—there’s electricity in it, the chaos, the small victories when someone finally nails a pitch without sounding like a hostage negotiator.
That’s the drug: watching someone transform in real time, going from shaky-kneed beginner to closer with a way of talking your ears fly to and stick like a label on a wine bottle.
And I know if I can capture that, bottle it, and amplify it—I built something worth more than any commission check I ever sought.
