journaling, the only way a decision becomes decided, a dimension and direction

Early up, again.  Nurse into shower I tried to fall back asleep for 15 minutes or so, remembering what Dad has told me for years, that “just closing your eyes for fifteen minutes sometimes does the trick…” I smile thinking of his words, his counsel, instruction and insight.

But… couldn’t fall asleep.  So, up.  Fed Oliver and Porty (reminder, dog and cat respectively), then a shot of espresso.  Nurse comes downstairs, packs something for lunch and the long day of Call One ahead of her.

Then to Peet’s, our usual morning date.  Stories and thoughts shared for weekend with kids—  She texts me, checking in, telling me she’s getting her flu shot downstairs (as her unit is on the 3rd floor).

Shit, I think, I need to get mine.  Mom’s already giving me shit about needing to get mine, and her and the Nurse are aligned.  On a great many things.  So… next week, hopefully.

Presenting the MDU ACQ deck today to the Sales Ops Squad… excited.  Meeting’s at 10:00 as I remember, and over Team.  Or maybe 10:30… either way, I’m ready.  Excited.  Hungry for more story in what’s already about and around and provided by the Story itself.

Yes, my energy is at an unusually emphatic altitude ce matin.  And I love it.

Repeating to the writer.. NO.THINKING.  That’s the key.  Or as Dad says, “the trick”.
