    Goooood afternoon!

How are you guys doing/feeling on this gorgeous day?

Yesterday, me and my boyfriend got a great offer to pick up a queen size loft bed to relive our childhood in our renovated bedroom. (And it was for free!)
Unfortunately, the person we were supposed to pick it up from didn’t get back at us but we confirmed we were picking it up today. Since it was in San Jose, we figyred we had to head out early. Halfway on our way over we got a message from the guy. Today wouldn’t work for him. A real bummer BUT we get to drive down tomorrow and we got to see a lotttt of beautiful places in oakland today! All and all a very nice day.

Man have I had a long day. I’m finally back to work after our covid exposure and another group had to come fill in our place. Between you and I, they suck. They didn’t know much when they started so I guess I have to give them some credit but jeez. I’m the first one back out of my co-workers so I’ve been trying to get things back to normal but they disorganized a lot of things and it’s just a lot of work for one person. I feel kind of like a babysitter because they keep messing up one table then moves to the next clear one and I’m left to pick up after them. I honestly don’t know how they survived the last week and a half doing things they way they did.
Anyways I just happy I’m home and on the blog!

It has been a tough day with the kids the last two days. These strong winds haven’t been able to let them eat outside on their yoga mat like usual and it’s taken their recess time away. Not having that brain break or mindful minute outside to recharge from their studying really takes a toll on them because they are kids and when they don’t exercise that build up of energy it calls for a ruckus.

Then I took a walk with my dog and took pictures of deciduous magnolia trees along the way and thinking nice thoughts about nature and how beautiful it is. I came back home and continued along with homework specifically writing the essay. I paused at a couple times to give my dog a snack and me one too.. Then I did a great Pilates workout and I’m here.

My day was eventful to say the least. My wife in the last 24 hours went massively back and forth in terms of what she wants to do with her career moving forward, which was rather stressful. This is something she tends to do when she gets anxious, so it has been a difficult last day or so just making sure we’re on the same page. Otherwise, Biology has been about as difficult as I imagined, with science and myself never getting along. Planting dirt and seeing how things grow is not my thing.

I did not even think about it again until now because it was too disturbing and I wasn’t going to let it distract me today. Can’t afford to reflect on things that probably don’t matter. Rather, went to sun bathe in my patio with the bunny! I wrote my essay update on Lawson as truthful as I could, also wrote a beautiful check list for all my classes in priority order. Today has been a pretty productive day, to say the least. Last night I passed out around 7 p.m last night and I woke up at 5:30. I decided to go for a 30 minute run around my block and afterwards I took a shower, ate, and began working on my essay. As I was working on it I got interrupted to babysit my 8-month niece and it was fun for the first hour until she began crying non-stop and it began irritating me. Luckily I was able to make her pass out. I also dropped my math class because I felt that the need to go into a lower class because I want to understand math a little bit better. I kinda regret it, but it’s a choice I know will work out better for me personally in the long run. Besides that my day has consisted of just being in bed and watching Netflix with my little niece while she was passed out on my chest. Luckily after class is over I’m going to go hang out with some of my friends and go take photos because I recently bought a new camera and want to test it out and because I haven’t seen my friends in a while because there’s like a pandemic going around or something like that.

This morning started in an embarrassingly unremarkable way. I got my 2nd dose of moderna a couple of days ago, and it was making me sluggish. So when I woke up my head felt like it was stuffed full of lint. My cat had placed himself into my hair and was aggressively licking a place I didn’t know could hurt? Right between my eyebags and the bridge of my nose.
This morning pretty much felt like I was unsticking myself from the bottom of a pond. It slowly got better, but that was only after a whole lot of shower and caffeine. I have been doing homework for the rest of the day so I am back to feeling brain tired.

I am always curious about what is on the job market, especially because I don’t really have a job that I love at the moment. It just “works out” but not in the sense of a stepping toward my professional goal. I found a listing on craigslist, Interior Design business seeking an assistant, and for some reason I got totally geeked up. I am a very hands-on creative person and love the idea of building new things and supporting the process. The hours sounds good, don’t know what pay would be like… but it is completely out of my “major” goal so I just feel apprehensive; I have no architecture experience. Also, the idea of working as a “team” in an employment kind of doesn’t bode well to me because I love my space and setting boundaries. My last job was all about being a “team” and it crossed my limits of professionalism and intimacy…

I don’t know how but I’m impressed at her bodies resilience, I heard her on the phone with my mom the other day and she was more coherent than she has been in a while. That being said my grandma isn’t the majority of people, part of me thinks she might be a little invincible.
