Writing taking a back seat. Full on photog, me now. Yesterday walking on the beach, the main stretch down there, whatever the street’s name is. Capturing whatever I could – trees, signs, a seagull.
I’ve been wondering if I’m actually trying to quit writing.

Trying to reshape the practice.
For years, everything became words. Every observation demanded a sentence. Every feeling wanted a paragraph. Every morning required a blank page.
But maybe the page isn’t always white anymore.
Maybe sometimes it’s a camera sensor.
Maybe it’s twenty seconds of video.
Maybe it’s the sound of the harbor before anyone else is awake.
Catalina Island, feels like it’s teaching me to observe differently.
