I have always thoroughly enjoyed reading and writing! My mom is an elementary school English teacher so growing up I have fond memories of writing my own stories and getting excited over chapter books.

Reading and writing has always come easily to me however writing was a bit more difficult as I have poor handwriting so reading what i put on paper is hard to read so doing classes online is a major help since no one can see my horrible handwriting. I’ve never really had trouble with reading books and reading between the lines to fill out a essay or prompt.

I don’t write much but I sometimes like to write whats on my mind in my sketch book with whatever I draw on that page. As for reading I find it hard for me to put in the time to focus but when it’s an interesting story I like I would read it. A couple of my favorite books I actually read all the way through were Catcher in the Rye and short stories from H.P. Lovecraft.

Lastly, how’s everyone coping with this crazy weather? (:

I’d like to gain a renewed sense of appreciation for literature and composition. In the past, classes have felt very black and white in terms of what teachers are looking for. Or they have primarily focused on grades rather than the actual content. I‘d like to participate in a course where it feel like the subject of the course is something enjoyable rather than a chore.

Can you share what you want from English 1A, and from yourself in this class? How will you test yourself? What will you shove yourself toward?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I would like for a reader to better understand the landscape and characters in my writing as well as references I may mention. I will test myself by being able to write about what interests me and drives me, which will help produce a better end product. I will shove myself toward giving specific details on what the scene is like, go into depth and visualize what I’m writing about. All to better describe the situation as well as the landscape, characters and references.
