Quiet to SELF.

The ZEN DEN.  One of my favorite parts of campus here at Sonic.

JOURNAL PROMPT:  Where do you find peace?  Make a portrait of it, length is unimportant, what matters is the feel and language of the visual you provide.

MY ANSWER:  Home office.  Little alcove with desk attached to wall.  Small, but enough.  Laptop atop, some journals surrounding.  Place for me to collect.  Natural and electric light blend.  Quiet, some birds audible from window behind me and to the right, in the loft area of the floor (2nd).  My space, peace, like a cocoon of Composition, music, poetry, notes to self at present and maybe some for later.  One frame on wall, just above desk and to left, reading something like “Break in case of fabulousness.”

My fiancee bought it before she knew me.

And now, this space she shares with me.  Pens and littered notes, some books, my backpack on the floor, printer on a little black shelf to my right.  Two shelves, I think it’s called a credenza, maybe.
