A discussion shouldn’t have an destination, shouldn’t have some immovable aim. And if it does, it should be open to the unexpected landings, docks that weren’t forecasted or estimated. We need to not just be be “open” to other directions in conversation and exploration of ideas, but everything, all possibilities and steps, sounds, rooms, and words.
Reading through some of the books which I speak on, semester to semester, I acknowledge the journey, the Road itself. Speaking from the ‘I’ as that’s what’s needing to be assimilated into the discussion and exchange of ideas. Focus on your ideas and your observations, what you record in the reading and in your journal, and initiate either a discussion or ideological transaction, or just some meditation municipal.
